I am in love with the idea of a carnival wedding. Whenever I get married (not saying I want to anytime soon), this is what I'm thinking I want to do. It's fun but beautiful at the same time. I especially enjoy these types of weddings being infused with a rustic/vintage feel. Possibly setting the reception in a barn, or just outside with some appropriate decorations, could help accomplish this.
Along with the carnival theme, allowing guests to play a few carnival games after the ceremony could be a good way to entertain them while dinner is being set up, if your ceremony and reception are in the same area. Also during dinner, if possible, a performance by some sort of carnival character could also be very pleasant for your guests. It would also be nice to have the dancing start after dusk so you can incorporate lights and maybe even sparklers!
This type of wedding could be inexpensive, yet very memorable for everyone in attendance!
These invites are perfect for a carnival theme. Admit one!
I like the rustic signs pointing guests in the direction of the ceremony.
I also love the idea of having these signs announcing events to the guests
Sparklers are a must at a carnival wedding! Especially during the bride and groom's first dance. I also love the umbrellas hanging above the dance floor.
I like the color theme of pink and yellow for a carnival wedding. And the cotton candy that they are eating is also essential! It looks like the cotton candy below is wrapped around rock candy. Something easy to do yourself if you have a cotton candy machine!
A candy table is also very necessary at a carnival wedding! This is a cute set up.
I love the triangular banners. They definitly give off a carnival feel.
This is a good way to present the cake; however, I would go with a more subtle cake. I don't believe that you should overly cloud your wedding with a theme. The theme should be the accessory to your wedding.
Fancy carnival food.
A kissing booth could be a nice way to get the bride and groom to kiss. Maybe, everytime a guest leaves 50 cents, they have to go to the kissing booth and kiss. This would be a good way for the bride and groom to maybe make some money? ;)
As for the bride and groom's attire. I like the idea of the groom and groomsmen not wearing jackets, because this could be a more casual theme. And the bride could wear something unique like tea-length dress, or something more traditional but vintage. A birdcage veil could also work well!
